A Sacred Celebration in the Heart of Baramati

Baramati witnessed a beautiful celebration of devotion as ISKCON Baramati organized the sacred Jagannath Rath Yatra on Sunday, June 29. The grand procession began from Pencil Chowk in the MIDC area and marked the second year of Rath Yatra celebrations in Baramati.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar

Inaugurated Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra with Devotion

The yatra was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and was warmly welcomed by Shriman Nand Dulal Prabhuji, temple devotees, and the citizens of Baramati. Devotees joyfully pulled the decorated ratha with deep faith, while Lord Jagannath, Lord Baladeva, and Subhadra Maharani were beautifully seated on the flower-adorned chariot.

Harinam Sankirtan Echoes Through the City

The procession moved from Pencil Chowk, passing through City Inn Chowk and Sahyog Society, before concluding at the ISKCON Temple. The entire atmosphere was filled with the sound of Harinam Sankirtan, mantra chanting, mridanga, traditional dance, and devotional enthusiasm.

Sharing Krishna Consciousness Through Seva

Along with the Rath Yatra, devotees also took part in spiritual book distribution, prasadam seva, and sharing the message of peace and Krishna consciousness. Under the guidance of Nandulal Prabhuji, the festival became a joyful opportunity for the people of Baramati to receive the mercy of Lord Jagannath.

A Moving Festival of Lord Jagannath’s Mercy

The Rath Yatra was not just a procession, but a moving festival of devotion, bringing the holy names, spiritual joy, and the blessings of Lord Jagannath to the streets of Baramati.
